Hawaii Big Island Tour
You can see much of the Big Island in a single day by taking one of the many Circle Island Tours. Here are some photos from a recent tour of the Big Island.

Roberts Tour of the Big Island. Unlike many of the other tours, this tour went clockwise around the island to avoid the crowds from other tours.

There are a number of waterfalls on the Big Island. This one is along the north shore.

The Akatsuka Orchid Garden was one of the stops on the tour. In the store there were a number of orchids and other tropical flowering plants as shown below.

Dr. Jagger was instrumentatal in setting up scientific observation of the volcano in 1911 -- now it is the Hawaii Volcano Observatory.

The Jagger Museum (Hawaii Volcano Observatory at the Volcano National Park) includes a number of exhibits about volcanos.

At the Volcano National Park you can currently see smoke rising in the caldera from the active Kiluea volcano.
